Riverfront Room

The front-row cottages sit directly on the Talpona River. Large windows and a private verandah mean the river is the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you hear at night.

The room is furnished entirely in solid teak, hand crafted in Jodhpur, bed frame, writing desk, side tables, bench. Upholstery is block-printed cotton from Jaipur: the pair of low chairs, the headboard, the curtains. The dohar on the bed is block-printed too, in a complementary pattern. Walls are hand-finished in warm terracotta and ochre yellow. Floors are black ceramic tile throughout.

The bathroom has the same attention: green ceramic tile in the shower, teak vanity unit, rain showerhead, and a window that opens onto a private garden.

The verandah is furnished with a teak daybed, block-printed cushions, and a bamboo jaali screen that creates privacy.
